Mass Miss call campaign to include Meitei in scheduled tribe list

Mass miss-call campaign for the inclusion of the Meitei/meetei tribe to ST status has begun under the initiative of the Meitei/Meetei Tribe Union (MTU).
The Meetei/Meitei tribe union is organising a Mass Miss Call campaign to include Meitei/Meetei in the Scheduled Tribe list under article 342(1) of the Indian constitution. The Union urged the MPs, MLAs, Ministers, VIPs, Bureaucrat officers, Political leaders to be a part of the Miss Call campaign.
In a press statement the Meetei (Meitei) tribe union encouraged the Local clubs and meira paibi organisations from different parts of the state to motivate the citizen and take part in the campaign as it is an important measure to protect the culture and identities of the Meiteis.
Meetei (Meitei) Tribe Union (MMTU), World Meetei Council (WMC), Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL), Salai Kanba Lup (SKL), Scheduled tribe demand committee of Manipur (STDCM) and global Meeteis diaspora together vows to fight until Meiteis are included in the scheduled tribe list.
