Manipur Sahitya Parishad honours Excellence at Annual Awards Ceremony

The Manipur Sahitya Parishad held its annual awards ceremony today at GM Hall, Imphal, recognizing individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields. The event, which celebrated the achievements of both new and longstanding contributors, was attended by prominent figures including Nongmeithem Tombi Singh as Chief Guest, Meisnam Sabitri Devi as Guest of Honor, and Longjam Joychandra Singh as President.
The ceremony highlighted a number of distinguished awardees. Among those honoured were Naorem Khagendra, Yumnam Mangi, Yansambam Bilashini Devi, Leimayum Dabendrajit Sharma, Keisham Prabhati, Leitongbam Dorendro, Salam Muktabali Devi, Angom Bino Devi, Ningombam Bira, Ningthoujam Kholo, Okram Manglem, Henba Tensuba, Naorem Gulap, and Leirenlakpam Yaima. Additional accolades were given to Leitongbam Sumati Devi, Nongthongbam Amusana Devi, RK Gaourashyam Singh, and RK Singajeet Singh. The prestigious Parishad Medal was awarded to Leishangthem Ibotombi Singh.
In a special announcement, the Parishad also recognized the achievements of the 2023 awardees: BM Maisnam, Yumnam Ibomcha, Sagolsem Bisharup, Arambam Tombinou Devi, Leitongbam Barjamohon Singh, Thongam Punsi Devi, Moirangthem Nabadip Singh, Sarangthem Thambaltombi Devi, Yakokpam Jugindro, Haorongbam Bisarup, Chanamthabam Pramanda Roy, and Ningombam Irabot. The Parishad Medal for 2023 was awarded to Moirangthem Meino of Keishamthong, Longjam Leirak, Meisnam Itomcha Singh of Kwakeithal Ningthoujam Leikai, Gotimayum Latasana of Mongsangei School Lampak, Phurisabam Devjani Devi of Nongmeibung Chakpram Leikai, and Gaolmei Gadampu of Keikhu Kshtrigao.
