Imphal, Oct 5: A team of International Red Cross Society, Manipur Chapter led by is Secretary Dr. Y Mohen today meet a convicted Manipuri Prisoner at Nepal. The prisoner identified as Thokchom Sobha from Jaipur Khunou in Bishnupur district has been in the prison since the last 5 years after he was arrested in connection with a crime in the country. Report said that as no family member came to meet him he wrote letter to International Red Cross Society and the letter has been forwarded to Indian chapter of the Society which latter handed over to the Red Cross Society Manipur Chapter. Under its programme Family News Service, the Red Cross Society went to meet his family members at Jaipur Khunou and later went t Nepal to meet the convicted prisoners. All possible help has been assured by the team to Thokchom Sobha Singh, the report added.
