Manipur Maoist says it will intensify movement for protection of Indigenous people

Imphal, Sept 16: Armed rebel group Maoist Communist Party Manipur today said that the organisation will join and intensify the struggle for protection of Indigenous Manipuri people and Land.
In a statement the outfit said that it did not directly joined the peoples’ movement as it felt that the joining might confuse the people and as the party felt the need for intensification for protection of the indigenous people the party decided to launch the movement.
The statement said that it will announce the charter of demand after discussion with various intellectuals and organisation within seven days.
The statement also elaborated on the need to study about the preparation of a bill that will have no misunderstanding among the people of the state. It further slammed the government for wasting time in the process for passing of a bill for the protection of the people of the state.
