Manipur Government declares half-holiday tomorrow to honour late MLA N. Kayisii

The Manipur government has declared a half-holiday on January 20, 2025, as a mark of respect for the late MLA N. Kayisii, who passed away after a prolonged illness. According to an official statement, all government offices and educational institutions will remain closed from 1 PM onwards.
N Kayisii, aged 58, was the MLA of Tadubi constituency in Senapati district and a senior leader of the National People’s Party (NPP). His demise on Saturday was mourned by leaders across the state, including Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, who expressed deep condolences.
Kayisii was widely admired for his dedication to the welfare and development of his constituency. Known for his grassroots approach, he tirelessly worked to address key issues affecting the people of Tadubi and significantly contributed to the constituency’s progress.
The half-holiday serves as a gesture of respect to honor the memory and legacy of a respected political figure who devoted his life to the service of his people.
