Imphal, Sept 1: Local Club and Meira paibi of Haorang Sabal Leikai in Imphal West district today demanded immediate arrest of Konthoujam (O) Nanao wife of K Gandhi for her involvement in the rapping of two minor girls be her husband.
Speaking to the media person at Manipur Press Club today, President of Unity Development Club of Haorang Sabal Leikai Irengbam, Ibungo said that two persons identified as Nando Konthoujam (44) and Konthoujam Gandhi (33) sons of Late K Ibomcha raped the daughters of their own brother who are just 11 years and 17 years old. Not only the two brothers but their two minor sons were also allowed to rape the two minor girls for nearly 2 years until the incident was come to light on the adjoining night of August 7 and 8 this year. The four were handed over to police by the locals of the area on the same night.
Later, it was also come to know Konthoujam (O) Nanao wife of K Gandhi, the rapist had taken the two for abortion at some clinic here in Imphal, which revealed that she had knowledge of every torture committed to the two girl by her husband, brother and sons.
The local club and Meira paibi demanded immediate arrest and punishment of the woman as well as appealed authority to award capital punishment of the rapists.
