Kakching Municipal Council launches Waste Collection App

Kakching Municipal Council today launched “KMC D2D,” a mobile app for waste collection, at the Conference Hall of Kakching Municipal Council, Kakching Phousupat Leikai, Kakching district. The app available for public installation and use via the Google Play Store was developed by Globizs Web Solutions Private Limited. The app will help in the door-to-door waste collection under KMC aligning with the objectives of the Council to keep the locality clean and healthy.
The launch programme was graced by Naorem Sanjitkumar, Caretaker Chairperson, KMC, L Romesh, Senior Chief Executive Officer, and Naorem Ramchandra, Executive Engineer.
Speaking on the occasion, Naorem Sanjitkumar, Caretaker Chairperson informed that this is the first time an app is being implemented in Manipur, and expressed hope that it would greatly benefit the public. He stated that the co-operation extended by the Councillors, and staff of the Council was the key to introducing such new initiatives for the welfare of the people. Sanjitkumar further appealed to continue working for the public and the public to give encouragement for the same.
Technical experts of Globizs Web Solutions Private Limited explained about the usage of the mobile app, the benefits given to consumers, and the responsibilities of the official staff.
The programme was also attended by Caretaker Councillors, Staffs, door to door waste collection sanitary workers, and fee collection workers of KMC.
