Kakching DC inspects developmental projects under WDC-PMKSY

Deputy Commissioner Kakching Rohit Anand today inspected the progress of various developmental projects under Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY) in Kakching district. The visit was to assess the progress and implementation of the key initiatives for water conservation and agricultural infrastructure under WDC-PMKSY.
During the inspection visit, Rohit Anand reviewed rooftop harvesting, farm ponds, spring sheds, pucca irrigation canals and other works taken up under WDC-PMKSY. These initiatives are part of the broader WDC-PMKSY scheme, which focuses on sustainable water management and improving irrigation facilities for farmers. The Deputy Commissioner visited several locations, including Serou, Tangjeng, Waikhong Laimanai and Langmeidong to evaluate the on-ground progress.
DC Rohit Anand also inspected the progress of construction of 49 houses at Serou which is being constructed for rehabilitation of displaced families. During today’s inspection, the DC was accompanied by Anunay Anand, IAS, SDO Waikhong, S. Nabachandra, Project Officer, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj along with other officials.
