The Jiribam Block Congress Committee (JBCC) gives warm welcome to the INC candidate of 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency Badrur Rahman today after the official announcement of his name as an INC candidate for Jiribam Assembly Constituency.
On his arrival, the President of JBCC Kh. Santikumar Singh along with other office bearers and supporters accorded warm reception to Badrur Rahman at Block Congress Office at Jiribam.
Following the mark of secularism ideology of Indian National Congress (INC), the Shahi Imam of Babupara Jame Masjid, Imphal Moulana Saheed Ahmed offers dua (Prayer) for the well being of Badrur Rahman in the upcoming election. Later Badrur Rahman along with JBCC President and Vice President went to Temple and Church of Jiribam seeking blessing for the election.
Speaking with the media person Badrur Rahman said he has chosen the principles of INC, as the party is secular which does not discriminate people based on caste, creed and religion.
As Jiribam is a constituency where there are different communities people are residing. To show the mark of secular principles of INC, I have decided to contest elections from Jiribam Assembly and to bring development among the different communities.
He added, if he wins the election his first priority will be to improve the road and connectivity of Jiribam followed by development of education sectors and women empowerment. He added JIribam is a resourceful place and it needs to be utilized properly as a vision oriented management.
