Nazamia Education Group announces scholarship for higher studies

The Nazamia Education Group will be conducting a scholarship test for the north east students excluding students of  Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh on 19th April of this year for those students who wants for graduate and post-graduate in the College and Universities of India.

Speaking about the process of the scholarship , the CEO of Nazamia Education Group Diana Kongkham said that those top 500 selected students in the scholarship would be getting opportunity to get admission for free in the Universities under this Education Group across India. And the scholarship test would be conducted twice according to the choices of streams of students..

She further said that the Nazamia Group would provide fees and hostel fees in the form of scholarship for those 500 selected students in getting admission. 

She continued that next 1500  and 3000 selected students in the scholarship  would be given laptops and capitals and its  branch office  for Manipur is at Singjamei Chingamakha Meisnam Leikaiand she added that a student is being charged Rs.500 for the registration as well as form price .

Schools at interior district neglected - AMSU

As  a part of’’ Campaign for Total Education’’ promoted by All Manipur Students’ Union , a team led by HRD Secretary Prikeshwor Moirangthem  of AMSU Bishnupur District Committee today conducted a survey at  Sadar Patel High School ,Ningthoukhong .
According to a press statement of the student body, the schools located at interior place of Manipur  have been left out without proper management by the Government .The Patel school has been facing problems of teachers as the school needed 26 teachers but they had only 7 for135 students from class 1 to 10 of 2020-21 session and the classrooms did not have proper desk and benches but only 40 were there. The AMSU further said that the Government had been launching lots of Schemes for the betterment of schools but it seemed like the benefits of the schemes has not seen much.
Giving the entire conditions of the schools ,he further said that even the rice for mid –day meal for last year  have arrived only this year and due to the lack of maintenance of the school’s kitchen the teachers had been contributing to manage the kitchen. And there were no  filters in the school for the students to provide hygienic drinking water .

AMSU set up special task force to check class X and XII examination

All Manipur Student’s Union (AMSU) has stated that the student body will be taken up various programme to maintain  and improve quality education in the state.
A statement by the student’s body said that even as there seems some improvement in the conduct of class X and Class XII examination conducted by the BOSEM and COHSEM in the last few years , however the examination still lack in meeting the goal to improve human resources.
The statement said that beside conducting the examination in a proper way it is also a need to improve the teaching - learning process round the year.
Even though mass copying during class X and XII examination seems to have perished at many examination centers such culture still is continuing at some examination center , the AMSU said. In this situation even though there is no need for paying inspection visit to all the school AMSU definitely feel it necessary to visit some examination center for the class X and XII.  
  For that matter AMSU is setting up a Special task force to look into the matter , said the statement signed by                                                                                                                               Bruce Pebam,  Secretary HRD, AMSU Headquarters.

Zomi Chiefs’ Association lauds CM

The Zomi Chiefs’ Association had expressed heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the new initiatives of Chief Minister of N. Biren Singh, for introducing “Go to Hills, “Go to Village” and “Hill Leaders Day” programmes.
The association also applauded the Chief Minister for allocating Rs. 2 crore in the Budget Estimate, 2020-21 for construction of Guest House to be maintained and operated by Village Chiefs.
It is customary for Village Chiefs to host guests visiting their village. Due to limited accommodation facilities in the village, many a times, Chiefs are unable to perform this obligation as is desired. Construction of Guest House in villages is expected to resolve this issue. The new and innovation policies of  Chief Minister bring about positive changes in the lives of the common man and won the hearts of the hill people. It is our earnest prayer that he continues serving the people with the same passion and spirit, a statement of the association said.
