Humanism Foundation kicks start ‘Mission Dustbin’

 With an aim to create awareness among the mass on the use of dustbin and clean environment, Humanism Foundation, a public charitable trust, have started its state wide campaign ‘mission dustbin’. The mission was launched yesterday from the office of the SDC Heingang.
As part of the mission, volunteers of Humanism Foundation distributed dustbins to be placed at the  office through Chirom Somorendro Singh (MCS), SDC of Heingang,

Humanism Foundation started the mission to keep local administrative offices, block and district levels and spread the use of dustbin from these offices where locals frequently visited.
SDC of Heingang, Chirom Somorendro Singh thanks Humanism Foundation for its community services and assured to help in the future endeavour of the charitable trust.
Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh, Managing Trustee of Humanism Foundation said that the foundation will continue its Mission Dustbin to other local, block level and district level offices across the state.
He also appeals the state government and local bodies to support it the Mission Dustbin campaign of Humanism Foundation.

Human chain formed in protest against Nungba incident Macha Leima condemn the act

Students of Sofia English School and Brilliant Academy Thoubal today formed human chain in front of their respective schools in protest against the assault and extortion of money from the volunteers of All Manipur Students’ Union, Artists and Music Ban by self style cadres of the NSCN –IM at Nungba at around 7.30 pm of September 3. The AMSU volunteers were returning from Jiribam area after attending a function at Shilchar.

 Various slogans denouncing the act as well as demand for driving out of the NSCN-IM were shouted during the protest.

Meanwhile, Manipur Chanura Leishem Marup (Macha leima) also expressed strong condemnation to the assault of AMSU General Secretary Anil by miscreants identified themselves as cadres of the NSCN-IM.  The women body said that such an act to a student’s body which has been working without any discrimination between hill and plain people , showed that hidden agenda of the NSCN-IM. The Macha leima also vehemently condemn the attitude of the NSCN-IM towards the mother of an artist even after knowing that she is a mother.

This is a challenge to the Manipuri Community, the Macha Leima said Nungba is a part of Manipur and Manipuri have right to carry flags at anywhere inside his state.
