Educational institutions belongs to every citizen must be safeguarded: Th. Radheshyam

Imphal Nov. 3: Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam Singh said, the educational institutions are the most holiest places where every youth from every religion comes to learn and nurture their future. He said, it is very unfortunate that the educational institution which holds the key for future of the students is constantly under threat being encroached by the people living in and around.
Th. Radheshyam said, the educational institutions are belonged to all the people and the society. However, these institutions are being manipulated for some personal gain. He said such things need to be stopped. Every citizen, the students and the teachers must safeguard and protect their educational institution for it is the place where the children of today go to get education and secure their future. He appealed to the people to regard the buildings of schools, colleges and university as the holiest places like temple, mosque and churches.
The Minister was speaking as Chief Guest at the first ever Sin – Lang Fest 2017 – a three day event organised by the Department of BBA, D. M. College of Commerce, Imphal. He said man, since birth, has to manage in every step of life. Utilising the best of available resources, within the constraints, to present in the best presentable way is called the best manager. He also pointed out that the event has been organised at the right moment where the society is proceeding towards the era of management.
He said management is an inseparable part of life. The right and the best management in life can lead one to success. In life mistakes should be taken as a lesson and opportunity to learn and improve by becoming creative and innovative, he added. The loopholes and mistakes are to be mended in the future rather than repeating it for it brings maturity and a chance to grow and develop.
Parliamentary secretary Leishangthem Susindro Meitei said that the event of Sin – Lang Fest 2017 is like a practical for the students to make themselves aware and gain experience in the event management. He also said that the students need to participate in the events organised by the other colleges and universities to learn and develop their skills in this field.
Principal D. M. College of Commerce, Imphal said that such a festival is being organised to enhance the competency and skills of the students.
Principals from different colleges, professors, non teaching staff and students attended the inaugural function of the Sin – Lang fest 2017.
