MSF celebrates 19th Foundation Day; Says will launch agitation for repeal of AFSPA

Imphal, Oct 13: Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) today celebrates its 19th Foundation day at KYDC Community Hall, Konjeng Hajari Leikai, Keishampat. The celebration was graced by 11 former president of the students’ body and the present President Muktangamba Mangang as presidium members.  
Speaking to media persons at the sideline of the function, President of the MSF Muktangmaba Mangang said that MSF has been campaigning for a better and quality education in the state under the theme “Lets Study well”and had conducted survey on the present state laboratory equipments in Higher secondary schools and colleges in the state.
The MSF president also stated that the students’ body has also been conducting drive against selling of expiry goods or medicines. He said even though some people criticised conducting such drive as they said those were not related with the students’ affairs. However, students do have to check such anti social practice as it would affect the youths of the people and being youths of the state the student body also need to clean the society.
On the other hand the MSF president also said that the student body will launch agitation for repeal of the draconian Act, Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1058. Muktangamba said that they will first urged the government to revoke the disturb area status from the state and then will also urged to repeal the act.
