12 BIHAR of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) and Social Welfare Association Chabung Company organised a 5 a-side Football Tournament between 12 BIHAR (Mayang Imphal Post) and Chabung Company Football team on 07 Sep 14. Mayang Imphal Post team won the match by a 2 -0 goal margin. It was a well contested match and both teams fought till the end. An encouraging crowd of 150 people cheered the young players throughout the match. The match was organised with the aim of further promoting the sport and game in the region and also to strengthen the bond between the local citizens and the Army. The Prizes were distributed for the winning team and best player, by Dr Ratan Kumar, Minister of Works & Transport. Locals & prominent personalities present during the event appreciated the efforts for the successful conduct of this match.
