Proposed talk between the member of the JCILP and the state government turn sore after yesterday incident at which the police team picked up some activists of the JCILP in connection with the assault of one Yengkhom Davson, compelling the JCILP to stay away from the talk and to call 24 hour general strike from today midnight.In a press conference held today convenor of the JCILP Ibotombi Khuman said that the series of hurdles faced by the JCILP shows that the government is trying to divert the issue for demand of the ILP.He said the state government should terminate Additional SP Victoria for her involvement in yesterday incident. He said the JCILP will not remained quiet until a visible action were taken up against the said police officer.Ibotombi said that Victoria came to the office of the JCILP at Nongmeibung by crossing the jurisdiction in full uniformed and committed excess to the JCILP activists on the ground that her brother has been summoned for talk.He said, the words used by Yengkhom Davson was unbearable and the JCILP could not remained quiet over the matter.Meanwhile , the eleven JCILP activist who were arrested by the police team yesterday were produced to the court of the Chie Judicial Magistrate today.

Hundreds of JCILP women wing volunteer today staged a mass rally in protest against yesterday’s police excess towards rge member of the JCILP at its Nongmeibung office.
