Imphal, May 17: Maoist Communist Party Manipur (MCPM) today said that labourer who are entitled to get benefit from the Labour and Employment department of the government of Manipur had been deprived of their right.
In a press statement the outfit said that a labourer who possessed cards from the department are entitled to get a sum of Rs. 10,000. As per information over 1000s had been provided the labour cards , however it has come to know that except some many of the card holders are not genuine labourers.
The outfit also alleged that the department has misappropriated a sum of Rs. 30,45,000/- in the name of conducting awareness campaign.
The Maoist said that the department should published the list of workers who were provided labour cards by any means to reach the people within 7 days and also make clarification on how they misappropriated the huge amount of money meant for the working class community.
