Students of 8 Govt. Higher Secondary Schools surrender books for lack of teachers and infrastructures

Students of 8 Government run higher secondary school of Imphal East and Imphal West today staged a protest demonstration by surrendering their books at the Governor Bunagalow.At around 12 noon today a large number of students belonging to Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School, Johnestone Higher Secondary School, Ram Lal Paul Higher Secondary School, TG Higher Secondary School, and Lamlong Higher Secondary School  came towards the governor Bungalow from Johnestone Higher Secondary school carrying banner decrying lack of proper infrastructures at the government schools. They were however stopped by a police team present at Kanglapat area. Later the students were allowed to move one after another but not in group.At Imphal East a group of students coming towards Porompat Police station from AnandaSIngh Higher Secondary School were stopped at Porompat Junction by a police team.
