CM appreciates contractor for completing construction before scheduled

Imphal, July 30:  For the first time in the history of Okram Ibobi Singh tenure, a bridge constructed under the Public Works Department (PWD) across Iril River at Chingaren was reported to have been completed three months ahead of the given time. The bridge was inaugurated today by the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh. Speaking on the occasion Okram Ibobi Singh appreciated the contractor for his sincerity and dedication in implementing a government contract work. The 60 meters bridge wide around 7.5 meter was constructed by a contractor name L. Baleshwar under the NLCPR funding at the estimated cost of rupees 637.12 lacs.The inaugural function of the RCC Bridge was also attended by PWD Minister Kh. Ratankumar, Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLA Ng. Bijoy and officials of the state PWD. Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh further said that completion of construction work in time is a good sign of development. He said if works are completed in time it save time money and improved the state economy.  Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the office building of Apparel Training and Design Center (ATDC). ATDC is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Textile
