Students condemned the selection of Bal Shree Award

Imphal, July 28: Students who participated at the selection of Bal Shree Award Nominee for Manipur 2014-2015 condemned the selection procedure. M. Mangangleima Devi (15) of Ananda Singh Hr. Secondary Academy, Th. Laisana Chanu (15) of the same school and Donna Ngairangbam (14) of Brajalal Institute of Science had participated among the 14 competitors of creative performing dance in the selection of Bal Shree Award Nominee. At a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club, the three students and their parents alleged that a participant namely Yurembam Eureka who had fallen down while performing got selected for the ‘Bal Shree Award (creative performance) 2014.’ They further alleged that Eureka had not answered properly during question round of the selection where as the three students have performed their creative items and faced the question round to the satisfaction of the jury members. They further appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter for the end of justice and encourage the actual talented young artist of the state.
