Land allotted for construction of Manipur Bhawan at Bangalore remains wasted  for over one year, as no government authority had attended nor did any of the officer has been appointed till today.
A source with the Imphal Times said that the land measuring 10,781.63 Sq. Metres, at Bengaluru, Karnataka (near Banglore University) was allotted by Bangalore Development Authority on lease for a period of 30 years to the Government of Manipur for construction of Manipur Bhawan, after onetime payment of Rs. 4,59,37,196/-. The source added that earlier the government of Manipur had utilized Dr. V. Ramakantha, IFS, as Manipur Liaison Officer but after his retirement on 31/07/2013 state government has not posted any liaison officer to look into the matter. Even though state government has a provision for engagement of liaison officer on contract basis , no officer has been engaged to look into the matter till today.
