Imphal, July 20: One month long training on Shumang Leela tradition and festival of Moirang Parva which was organised by All Manipur State Shumang Leela Council and Theatre Mirror, Imphal concluded today at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shangelen, Palace Compound, Imphal.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, Govindas Konthoujam, Minister, Commerce and Industries, said that the training doesn’t only teach only about Shumang Leela but other art forms are included in it and the result oriented. He further said that he will talk to the Chief Minister of Manipur to upgrade the Manipur art forms.
During the function the faculty members of the training were honoured with gifts and Lengyanphee and later certificates were distributed to the trainees.
Works and Transports Minister, Kh. Ratankumar and Project Co-ordinator, Ph. Gunachandra attended the function as President and Guest of Honour. Before the end of the function various kind of dance forms including Maibee Jagoi, Tribal War Dance, Tanjabi have been performed by the trainees.
