Imphal, July 20: Troops of Red Shield Division apprehended one armed cadre of NSCN (K) on the night of July 19. A PIB statement said, based on specific input about presence of an armed cadre in general area Happy Colony in Nonei III, Troops of Red shield Division cordoned the suspected house and apprehended one armed cadre of NSCN (K), Self Styled Sergeant Gairiupou Gonmei @ Heala s/o Guigong Gonmei, age 23 years, r/o Vill NagajengI, dist Tamenglong alongwith one 9mm Pistol, one Magazine, four live rounds, eight rounds of M-16 and one mobile phone. The apprehendee alongwith recoveries was handed over to Patsoi police station on the same day.
On the other hand, a lady identified as Hoineichong, resident of village Tuinom, District Churachandpur was saved by a medical team of AR after she was bitten by a venomous snake.
