Imphal July 12: A delegation of Manipur State BJP led by Th. Chaoba Singh, state president, Asnikumar Singh, L. Bashanta State General Secretaries, Yanglet Haokip, National Counselor and Susindro alias Yaima, active member yesterday met Venkaiya Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development , Poverty Allevations and Parliamentary Affairs at his office chamber located at Nirmal Bhavan Delhi.In the meeting the State delegates drew the attention of the Union Minister for creation of a new Smart City in Manipur under 100 Smart Cities to be set up under new NDA government.They also urged the Union Minister to sanction maximum fund under Urban Housing Scheme in Manipur poor people living in Urban and Municipal areas of Manipur.The Union Minister assured the delegates that he will give maximum assistance to Manipur and will pay a visit at Imphal after August, 2014. After meeting with him, the delegates met with Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports, Skill Dev at his office chamber, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi and highlighted various important issues of Manipur in the relation with Sports, Youths Affairs and Unemployment.The State Delegates convey gratitude to the BJP National Leadership particularly PM Narendra Modi and Arun Jeitely Union Finance Minister for allocating nearly Rs 58000 crore in the current budget for the current financial year towards NE States for development sector in the Region election
