Imphal July 12: Parents and home owner of a girl where she stay as a family helper sough for help in tracing the girl who ran away from the residence of one Loitongbam Imo Singh of Jasola Vihar Pocket No. 12.In a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club Loitongbam Dorendro Singh, s/o L (O) Indumukhi Devi of Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai, said that a girl identified as Sarangthem Monika Devi aged about 18/19 ran away from the residence of his brother L.Imo located at Jasola Vihar Pocket No. 12. He further said that the girl had been staying with his brother’s family since August 2013 as a family helper through an arrangement by a lady namely R.K. Nalini Devi, w/o R.K Bishorjit Singh of Langol Ningthou Leikai Govt. Quarter No. H-29 Type III with the consent of Monika’s parents.He further said that his brother and his family members found their house locked from outside when they reached home on June 21 after coming back from a nearby temple for prayer. It was about 9 pm. Immediately, they tried to call up the girl, however there was no reply. They went to nearby park to look her but could not trace her. When they returned again to their house and try to break the lock they found the key above the door. When they opened the door and entered the house they found the mobile of the girl lying on the table with all the call logs being deleted.He added that he tried to contact R.K. Nalini Devi twice to ask about the parents of the runaway girl but could not meet her. The whole episode was narrated to Nalini Devi on 23rd June by Dorendro.On 24th June 2014 Nalini suggested him to buy a plot of land for Monika’s parents to control their emotions. But the family members of Dorendro strongly objected with Nalini. She promised to arrange a meeting between the parents of Monika and the family members of Dorendro. But she failed many times.During the press meet the parents and family members of Dorendro appealed to the people of the state to help in tracing the girl.
