An angry mob today dismantled a storehouse at Chingmeirong Lei Ingkhol in Imphal West after incriminating documents relating to Rebel groups KNO and ZRO for the disintegration of Manipur were found by locals.
Report culled from the spot said that early today morning a large number of people gathered at Chingmeirong Lei Ingkhol area after reports of incriminating documents related to the formation of Kuki Land called Zelang was found in large number. The documents were found stored at the storehouse of a Kuki lady identified as K. Damnu. A local while talking to this reporter said that Damnu is a Kuki women leader who is taking a major role in organizing protests against the Meitei people and has been campaigning for the formation of a separate Kuki land.
The irate mob then vandalized the storehouse and also burnt a four-wheeler vehicle owned by the lady. No one was however injured as only the chowkidar of the storehouse was present at the time.
