State cabinet approves delimitation of disputed boundaries of Administration Districts

The state cabinet meeting of the government of Manipur has approved to settle the issues of disputed boundaries of administrative districts of the state. Talking to media person Minister for Information and Public Relations Sapam Ranjan said that at present there are around 500 villages in the state where the district administrations are facing difficulties in settling issues due to disputes among the villagers. He said that in order to make it convenient for the district administration to act and ensure governance, the state cabinet meeting held today has approved to settle the issue. At present, there are 16 administrative districts in the state of Manipur.
On the other hand, the cabinet meeting also approved ex-gratia for those victims of the December 21 bus accident at Old Cachar road in Noney district where 9 persons including 7 students were killed and leaving several others injured. IPR Minister Ranjan said that the state cabinet meeting had resolved to grant ex-gratia to those victims of the tragic accident. Other resolutions taken during the cabinet meeting are the upgradation of PHC to CHC in Noney district and the appointment of a Chief Engineer at PWD.
