Six student bodies of the state while condemning the economic blockade imposed in the National Highways of Manipur has appealed the people to restrain from any act of communal activities that may incite communal tension among the people of the state.
In a press statement released by AMSU, AIMS, DESAM, KSA, MSF, and SUK, the student bodies said that as the state of Manipur has been resided by various communities, no community should hurt the sentiments of other community while demanding for a political causes. It said that the economic blockade imposed in the national high ways is not justifiable as it affect the socio economic condition of the various communities in the state of Manipur. The six student bodies appealed to suspend the economic blockade being underway in the national high ways to maintain cordial relationship between the different communities of the state.
The six student bodies also appealed the people to restrain from any act that may divide the people of the state.
