The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has promoted three managers as In-Charge Deputy General Managers by ignoring the seniority list.
According to information obtained by the Imphal Times, MSPDCL recruits 34 Managers (Electrical) through MPSC, with 13 promoted to In-Charge DGM.
Tuangkanson, Kanghujam Nabakanta Singh, N. Birjit, Wangkheimayum Sonia, Thongram Ibomcha Meitei, Shougaijam Niti Devi, Irengbam Ashachandra Singh, Lourembam Momocha Singh, Thanglalsam, Chandramani Mangsatabam, Letkhomang Haokip, and Usham Rocky Singh are the thirteen managers who have been promoted to the post of in-charge DGM.
According to the MSPDCL’s seniority list, employee in serial No. 12 on the list was promoted by ignoring serial number 11. Employee in serial no. 20 in the list was promoted by ignoring serial numbers 13-19 and finally, employee in serial no. 25, was promoted by ignoring serial numbers 13-19, 21, 22, 23, and 24.
Whether the promotion of employees not on the basis of the seniority list is permitted by the MSPDCL service rule or not is a matter needed to be clarified by the authority.
