At what could be term as a conflict of professionalism between allopathic practitioner and the Homeopathy practitioners, a fresh criticism is now arisen with Joint Director of the State Medical Directorate Dr. Sashikumar terming the medicine distributed by Director of AYUSH Dr. Lokendra as misleading to the general public. “The so called homeopathy medicine is not recognised by the WHO for cure of Swine flu”, said Dr. Sashikumar today while speaking during an awareness campaign held at 2nd MR Complex North AOC. He however said that the medicine might have some value of keeping the immune system strong so that the virus could be prevented. He also said that the same has been conveyed to his directorate while contacting the AYUSH department.Earlier during an interview with ISTV Network Homeopathy doctor M Nara said that Indian council of medicine had recently approved Homeopathy medicine as effective for cure of swine flu. Joint Director of Health Dr. Sashikumar’s statement appears to have been in contradiction to what Dr. M. Nara had said to the public through the local cable TV Network. Dr. M. Nara is known for his credential in both leading the thousands of people of the state as well as had long been served as minister in the government of Manipur.
