The Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs) comprised of Zeliangrong Baudi, Zeliangrong Youth Front and Zeliangrong Student’s Union expressed appreciation and hailed the Union Minister of State RK. Ranjan Singh who had attended the Zeliangrong community biggest post harvest festival “Gaan Ngai” as the Chief Guest on 15th January, 2022 in spite of his heavy engagements and spelt it out in unambiguous terms regarding the Zeliangrong community biggest festival “Gaan Ngai”.
Being a renowned educationist and scholar apart from holding the very important portfolio as a Hon’ble Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education in the Union Govt., RK. Ranjan Singh clear message delivered on the said occasion to the Zeliangrong people in particular and the people of the State in general regarding the “Gaan Ngai” festival truly reflected his character of learned and in-depth knowledge about the historical background and roots of Zeliangrong people which is highly honoured, respected and hailed by the Zeliangrong Civil Organisations ZCOs.
Zeliangrong Civil Organisations ZCOs have been observing all the wishes and messages of dignitaries that have come across in various social media groups and also published in various newspapers regarding “Gaan Ngai” festival. We are really happy and proud to see all the Messages and wishes of dignitaries handed out this year in clear terms mentioning that “Gaan Ngai” is the biggest festival of Zeliangrong community as compared to some messages last year which vaguely mentioned that “Gaan Ngai” is the festival of Kabui tribe.
Zeliangrong people are inseparable by blood which cannot be separated by administrative manipulation so-called separate tribe recognition as “Zeliang”, “Kabui”, “Zeme”, “Liangmai”, “Rongmei”, etc.
Zeliangrong people history is a history of common ancestral origin therefore, whoever is trying to distort historical facts on the basis of administrative manipulation is only exposing their lack of reasoning ability.
