Oinam Romen Singh, the NPP Intending Candidate of Singjamei Assembly Constituency in the upcoming State General Assembly Election 2022 said that the menace of drugs can be thrown away only with Sports.
This was stated by him at the Felicitation Function of Jojo Rajkumari, the winner of Matrix Fight Night 7 in 52 kg category which has been held recently in Imphal. He said that there are a lot of jobless youths because of the failure of the state government policy for grooming up youths and then they become drug users automatically by nature. This is quite unfortunate.
During the Felicitation Programme organised by the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) Singjamei Block at his residence, Singjamei Oinam Thingel, Imphal West District Manipur, Romen said that he would like to groom up sports personalities in his best level and as such different sports tournaments has been organised under his sponsorship during the last many years such Kang Tournaments, Football Coaching Camps so on and so forth. These were done not taking any aid from the government and the public as well. He said that if he is elected in the ensuing State General Assembly Election 2022, he will make a special initiative meant only for grooming up sports personalities.
He said that the youths are using drugs in large number is a major cause of concern. If the government or the public leaders try to do something for their welfare, the Fate of our younger generations may be void, Romen Singh remarked.
