Another name for women empowerment should be Manipur – JP Nadda

In consideration of the various activities and roles taken by women of the Manipuri society, BJP National President JP Nadda who arrived here in Imphal on a day visit said that it will be no wrong to call Manipur as another name for the Women empowerment.
The BJP President arrived here at Imphal Airport in a charter flight today. He was received by the State President of the BJP A Sarda Devi, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajoaba, Works and IPR Minister Th. Biswajit and other BJP leaders of the state.
Interestingly, JP Nadda along with other BJP leaders Sambit Pattra, Ajay Jamwal, Abhay K Giri, Chief Minister N. Biren and other top leaders had their lunch at Luxmi Hotel at Waheng Leikai, Imphal in traditional style. After having lunch, the BJP President presented gifts to a son and mother who was also having lunch at the same hotel.
While addressing a meeting at Sagolband Bijoy Govinda, Imphal, Nadda applauded the role played by the women of Manipur in societal reformation since the British colonial regime. He was referring to the Nupi Lal, Meira Paibi movement, and others taken up by the women of the state. Nadda also mentioned on how the women of Manipur bring fame to the country in the field of sports.
“It will be no wrong to call Manipur as another name of Women Empowerment”, the National President of BJP said.
Earlier, soon after his arrival at Imphal J.P. Nadda took visited Shri Bijoy Govindaji Temple and took blessing.
J.P. Nadda Ji, BJP National President also flagged off “BJP Video Van” today. According to Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, the Video Van will travel across the state to showcase BJP led-Govt’s four years & eight months journey of citizen centric governance.
