The Singjamei Block Office of the National People’s Party (NPP) was inaugurated today.
Inaugurating the Block Office at Singjamei Parking, Imphal West District, Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh said that the voters should cast their franchise without any fear. The fates of the Candidates in every Constituency will be decided by the voters and thus the voters should use their democratic rights in a proper way. They should not be convinced with the money and muscle powers of the Candidates. He said that if the voters choose their representatives in a wrong way, the Constituency will not be developed in the long run.
The Deputy CM further said that the Election should be free and fair. Quarrel among workers supporting their Candidates is very shameful. NPP does not want such incidents to happen as its ideology is by far different from any other Political Parties. People should be far away from such Political Parties, he asserted.
Delivering his speech, the former Minister and the Working President of the Party, L. Jayantakumar said that choosing a representative is very much important in a democratic country. The other Political Parties do not have in touch with the North East and its people. To boost up the North East, they have to set up their own political platform, and thus NPP is there. NPP is set up for grooming up the North East People. Without developing the North East, India cannot be treated as a developed country. In order to safeguard the integrity of the girls of the North East in mainland India, NPP should be chosen. Mr. Jayanta said that only NPP will safeguard the girls of the North East as the Party knows the emotions and grievances of the people as well.
