Govt. permits social gathering by following Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior

Manipur government has allowed social gatherings in open halls and spaces till October 21 as Covid-19 cases reduce in the state.
Chief secretary Rajesh Kumar, who is the chairman of state Executive Committee of State Disaster Management Authority, in an order issued on Monday said, “Social Gathering is allowed subject to the organizer or the host ensuring that Covid Appropriate Behaviours i.e. wearing of mask, maintaining physical distance between one another etc. are followed by all present in venue.”
It said the gathering should preferably be in open halls and spaces.
In case, it is held in enclosed spaces or halls, the number of people inside should not be more than 50 percent capacity of the hall or space, it added.
Religious places may also open subject to the concerned authorities of the religious establishment ensuring that Covid Appropriate Behaviours i.e. wearing of mask, maintaining physical distance between one another etc. are followed by all devotees present in the Temple, Church, Mosque, etc. Open halls or spaces should be preferred venues for religious gatherings. However, if they are organized in an enclosed hall or space, it should be ensured that the number of persons does not exceed 50 percent of the capacity of the enclosed hall or space, the order said.
Night curfew from 8.30 pm to 4 am shall be enforced strictly, it added.
Manipur on Monday reported 100 Covid-19 positive cases and six death cases. The positivity rate was 5.1 percent and the recovery rate was 96.64 percent. The active cases was 2202.
