RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee and RIMS Students Union (RIMSSU) organized Cleaning and Tree Plantation program on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti today i.e. 2nd October, 2021. The Chief Guest of the function Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Imphal informed that RIMS is celebrating a year- long Golden Jubilee year since 14th September 2021. It is really proud moment that this year, Gandhi Jayanti program is organized by the RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee and RIMSSU jointly in a grand manner in coincidence with the Golden Jubilee year celebration. The institute has been working on keeping institute/hospital neat and clean on priority. The mass cleanliness program will be observed for one month starting from 2nd October. The Director appreciated Dean (Academic) Prof. Brogen Singh Akoijam, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Chairman of the RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee, Prof. Y. Indibor Singh, Convenor of RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee Prof. RK. Lenin Singh, Principal of Dental College, Prof. Praveen Reddy, RIMSSU Advisor and Sub-Dean (Academic) Prof. Th. Meera Devi and RIMSSU office bearers for initiating such program. Later on, the Director and officials planted trees at the Kushumlei Hostel (Ladies Hostel No 3).
The Cleanliness and Tree Plantation program was also participated by faculty members and officials, staff of Manipur Security Services and CRED.
