Imphal, Sept 20:

When many CSOs and student bodies are trying all means to proceed the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh’s ambitious programme – Go to Hill -2.0 , major players in the political theatre of Hill districts of the state namely – the Demand Committee for Creation of Autonomous District Councils (DCCADCs) of Pherzawl, Kamjong, Noney and Tengnoupal Districts of Manipur has stated that such hindrance to the dream mission for the development of the Hill area by the Chief Minister of Manipur is a game plan by opposition Congress party and its alias.
A statement of the committee said, “It is very unfortunate that some tribal base Civil Society organisations are used by the opposition political parties to mislead the public by the HAC Recommended ADC Bill 2021 that cannot be constitutionally acceptable. The failure to introduce HAC recommended Manipur (Hill Areas) ADC Bill 2021 was used as a tool to mislead the tribal people that the BJP led NDA Govt. was dubbed as anti-tribal”.
It further added that the opposition party lead by Congress is planning to draw political mileage by disturbing the normal situation of Manipur just ahead of the assembly election. The opposition leads by Congress party is playing proxy politics by instigating some tribal base Students’ Organisations to create a political storm on this issue is a clear sign of frustration for power. The MLAs are failed to perform as people representatives and responsible lawmakers in the floor of the House by not raising this issue but push to unaccountable students’ organisations which is not justifiable in the eye of the law. The Committee appeals to all the public not to succumb to the ploy of the opposition parties.
