Minister organized mass vaccination drive

To crush and curb the rumours and apprehensions regarding the on-going coronavirus vaccination in Minister (TA & Hills, GAD and Transport) Vungzagin Valte, who is also in-charge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts, organized Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Drive at his residence in Dorcas Veng, New Lamka today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that once a person is immunized, he or she is incapable of transmitting the disease to other thereby paving the way to eradication of the disease altogether. He added that home quarantine is good, but without immunization, the virus can still be transmitted to the larger society he or she interacts with.

Reminding the people about the importance of wearing masks, maintaining safe distance and hand and face hygiene to combat Covid-19, the Minister also urged them to take vaccines for social benefit to the larger society we interact with, our near and dear ones.

Thienlaljoy Gangte, ADC, Dr. Mang Tunglut, DIO, Zenngaihlun, DPM of Pherzawl district and other CSO leaders, village chiefs attended the event.

Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Tourism Minister, Oinam Lukhoi Singh also stressed on the importance of COVID-19 Vaccination to totally eradicate this deadly disease. This was stated by the Minister during the visit to various Mass Vaccination Campaign held in and around Wangoi, AC, Imphal West today.

 While interacting with the masses, Minister Lukhoi appealed to all the people to get vaccinated at the earliest at the nearest vaccination centres.

O. Lukhoi also the Local MLA of Wangoi AC lauded the Medical Team headed by MO, COVID Task Force Team, Volunteers and local club members for their unwavering support towards Mobile vaccination drive with an aim to fully vaccinate all this AC soon.

Minister Lukhoi also vaccinated with a second dose today.
