Intending candidate of Singjamei Assembly Constituency while appreciating Chief Minister N. Biren Singh for the announcement of giving a sum of five thousand rupees to those families affected with Covid-19 Pandemic has warned the people to stay away from fraud who are selling forms for getting the benefit.
He said that the initiative taken up by the State Government during this Covid-19 pandemic is quite legitimate. He also appreciates the act of the Chief Minister for helping the people during such a crucial period. It indicates that the present State Government is people-centric. He will also give full co-operation to the State Government in disseminating such kind of aid to the genuine beneficiaries in Singjamei Assembly Constituency, he asserted.
He said that it is very unfortunate to learn that somebody pretending to be a public leader tries to disseminate forms to various persons to get the benefits unknowingly whether they are genuine or not. This is not to be done as it can mislead the people of the Constituency as the benefits can be afforded only by the genuine beneficiaries, not by everybody, he contended. Giving cooperation to the Government, he said that he will try his best to chalk out the genuine beneficiaries of the Constituency. He will help each and everybody who are genuine to get the benefits if they fulfilled the criteria the Government furnished. If the genuine beneficiaries do not know anything about it can contact him for further course of action, he asserted.
On the other hand with an aim to give some Aid to the Covid Warriors who are rendering their services in such Vaccination Centres, Oinam Romen Singh, also visited different Vaccination Centres underway at Singjamei Assembly Constituency and handed over sanitizers, masks, hand gloves, and other related items for their safety. Rendering the service, Romen Singh said that he is anxious to learn that somebody taking political mileage advised him to stop giving such kind of Aid to the Covid Warriors, it is very unfortunate. He has been doing this for the safety of the Covid Warriors and also for the welfare of the general public.
Romen said that the Vaccination Campaign taken up by the State Government is meant for the public in such a way that all the people of the State can be saved from the Pandemic. At this crucial juncture, no one should not try to get any political mileage in this regard as it affects a lot to the good Initiatives taken up by the Government for the welfare of the public. Every one of us needs to support the Government for the Deeds. It is the need of the hour and should give cooperation instead of criticising among us. It can mislead the people, Romen Singh asserted.
Romen Singh said that being a Public Leader or any lame man should not interfere in such a Vaccination Campaign as it is not done under the supervision of a Public Leader. It is done under the supervision of the DCs concerned.
He further said that a Public Leader is mere a Leader, he or she should not try to get any political gain in such a Vaccination Drive as it is free for all. A Good Leader always performs good work, it is good for the public, if not, he cannot be considered as a Public figure, Romen Singh asserted.
He further said that he will do and everything for the welfare of the people of the Constituency.
