Imphal, July 13:

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all Higher Secondary Schools of the state have been directed to form assessment or evaluation committees of their respective schools and have been directed for submission of the performance report by July 15, however, out of the 192 Higher Secondary Schools in the state only some few numbering around 50 have only been submitted so far.

Dr. Lamabam Mahendra, Chairman of the Council of Higher Secondary School (COSHEM) expressing serious apprehension about the fate of the student community today appealed to all the remaining Higher Secondary Schools to submit the performance report of the students giving some extra effort to make sure that the performance report is being submitted on time.

Talking to media persons through video conferencing, Dr. Lamabam Mahendra appealed all the authority of the Higher secondary school which have not yet submitted the performance report evaluated by the committee of their respective school ton spare some extra time and make sure that the report been submitted on or before July 15.

“If the school authority fails to submit the performance report on time there will be a lot of challenges not only to the teachers but also give impact to the career of the students”, Dr. Lamabam said.

He also said that the entrance test for the NEET, JEE, and JEE Advance is likely to announce soon in the coming 2/3 days and moreover the admission form for the Delhi University and other outside universities will start issuing on July 15.

“If we could not declare the result of the examination conducted by the COHSEM before 30th of July it may discourage or sabotage the career of many of our aspirant future scholars”, The COSHEM Chairman said and added that the COHSEM had earlier decided to declare the result between 20 to 24 of July but as per the directives of the Supreme Court in connection with a case with the CBSE the last date for declaration has been directed to fix on July 31.

In view of all this all schools’ authorities are requested to submit the performance report of the student by the said date as declared earlier so that the COHSEM can declare the result on time to save the career of our students, Dr. Lamabam Mahendra said.

The Chairman also said that those students (Casual or regular) who could not submit forms on time have also been given the opportunity to appear in the examination and all guidelines have been provided. The last date for submission of the performance report is July 17.  If in case of any confusion the school authority can clarify it with the COHSEM authority, Mahendra said.
