All Manipur College Teachers Association (AMCTA), the apex body of College teachers of Manipur, has sent Circular to all the Principals/Presidents/Secretaries of unit colleges for ensuring the smooth conduct of the ongoing online classes of Government Colleges affiliated to Manipur University. In this connection, the Commissioner (University & Higher Technical Education) & Director of University & Higher Education have also been informed by sending copies of the Circular with the contents as follows:
A statement said that as decided by the AMCTA Extended Executive Committee virtual meeting held on 23rd June, 2021, AMCTA has already submitted a representation to the Chief Minister, Manipur urging him to issue the orders for implementation of 7th UGC Pay Scales and UGC Regulations, 2018 to the college teachers and equivalent cadres of Manipur before 10th July, 2021. AMCTA Secretariat has also held a virtual meeting on 27.06.2021 and reviewed the action taken report of the Association.
As per the Resolution No. 1 of EEC meeting dated 23.6.2021 sentenced as – “Resolved that a representation be submitted to the Chief Minister of Manipur urging to issue the orders for implementation of 7th UGC Pay Scales & UGC Regulations 2018 before 10th July, 2021 as per the Cabinet Decision dated 27/03/2021 and MoU dated 06/03/2021 to avoid the undesirable movement from the teachers of Government Colleges affiliated to MU.
Further, resolved that the unit colleges be intimated to conduct online classes to meet the needs of the students for saving their academic careers” all the unit colleges are requested to ensure the smooth conduct of the ongoing Online Classes so that academic careers of the students may not be disturbed.
