Minister Satyabrata opines for human plantation with respect to a Club’s function

CAF & PD  Minister Th. Satyabrata said that there is an urgent need for human plantation in connection with a local club’s role and importance in moulding the citizens and youths of a Kendra whether it be in the field of sports or education or any other sector. Clubs in a particular locality has a significant role to play in shaping the local community for a better society in future. He made this statement while gracing the inaugural function of the Konthoujam Makha Youth Development Association (K.M.Y.D.A.) club building Imphal West on Thursday.

Minister Th.Satyabrata also highlighted that with the coming of the new BJP-led government, the  function of local clubs in a Kendra are minimised and specialised  as the government gives full support to these clubs in a  new innovative roadway.If the clubs function effectively, it will pave the way for the locality and the whole state to grow positively towards overall development. “Lets value the new club building by taking better decisions, organising and holding discussion. The clubs has a big role to play in shaping the society”, he also said.

MLA Konthoujam A/C Dr.Sapam Ranjan appreciated the function of the local, clubs in tackling Covid crisis ,mobilising the people and taking up steps to defend the deadly disease. The number of the fresh Covid positive cases keeps increasing day by day and Manipur needs to take extra precaution taking into consideration the crucial situation and figures in other states of the country like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. “Lets be very careful and take personal hygiene on top of government remedial actions. Lets follow SOP norms, keep 6 feet social-distancing and use hand sanitisers,masks regularly to prevent from this virus”, he stated.

Dr. Sapam Ranjan also appealed the masses present at the gathering to undertake vaccination while the Tikka Utsav is very happening in Manipur as it is quite safe and free from side-effects or other serious repurcussions. “Lets try to avoid crowded places as far as possible and practicable to curb the pandemic”, he also said.

Member Yurembam Zilla Parishad Thingujam Nilamani mentioned that club is the appropriate place and platform under which discussion about important issues like drugs menace, alcohol addiction, sports, education, entertainment and other developmental projects of a Kendra can be discussed.

Meanwhile, a proposal was submitted to MLA Ranjan that include introduction of LED lights, loudspeaker set and gym equipment and construction of retaining walls and fencing of the K.M.Y.D.A. club.

Minister Satyabrata donated Rs.30,000 to assist the welfare activities of the club during the function.

Pradhan Konthoujam Gram Panchayat H Manisana Singh, SDO/BDO,Phungyar K.G. Daigong and Proprietor LYS Group L Ratan Khuman attended the function amongst others.
