Self-proclaimed chief minister Y. Biren says, Samarjit no longer part of the De Jure Govt.

While appreciating N. Samarjit for his activities for the De Jure Govt. in Exile of Manipur, while his stay at London, the self-proclaimed Chief Minister of the De Jure Govt., Y. Biren today said that the portfolio given to him as Defense, Foreign Affairs and Finance in-charge had already been removed from him on March 20, 2021, after he had posted about his intention to return to India on Social Networking site.
Samarjit however, did not tender any voluntary retirement from the De jure Govt. and he had even talk with the Self-proclaimed CM , Y Biren on March 24 morning at around 10.30 am London time.
“He didn’t say anything about his return to India when I talk with him on Wednesday Morning”, Y. Biren said in a statement.
N. Samarjit who is presently in NIA custody was arrested from IGI Airport Delhi, by a team of NIA while returning from London on March 25. NIA had also charge-sheeted against him and Y. Biren Singh on March 23 along with associates of N. Samarjit identified as Narengbam Biswajit Singh, Elangbam Brojendro Singh and Akoijam Deepa Anand, as per report.
Y. Biren said that all portfolio allotted to Samarjit has been taken aback by the CM and the De Jure Government is continuing.
