Over failure to fill the vacant post of Secy. and Controller of Examination, volunteers of Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) today lock the rooms at Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) today.
The two post has been remain vacant after both end their office term on December 27 and December 28 , 2020.
General Secretary of DEAM, Leishangthem Lamyanba, in a press communiqué had stated that due to vacancy of both the major posts at BOSEM, students are facing extreme problems in procuring documents. The DESAM had urged the authority to fill the vacant post time and again an even sets deadlines through media for filling of the post. However as the government authority remain deaf , the volunteers of DESAM having no option locked the rooms of the Secretary and the Examination Controller of BOSEM as a special agitation. Lamyanba further said that the student body will continue different form of agitation if the concern government authority fails to fill the vacant posts.
The general secretary of DESAM also said that after a long halt to the academic activities of schools and colleges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government is trying to resume classes. But then at a time when the students are supposed to get the revise syllabus, blueprints and to initiate the process of the board examination, students are left in confuse state as the two key posts – Secretary and controller of examination BOSEM remain vacant, said Lamyanba.
