KSA to organize 4th Kanglei Mega Sports Festival

Kangleipak Students’ Organization (KSA) is going to organize 4th edition of Kanglei Mega Sports Festival during the Yaoshang Festival, from 4th March to 8th March, 2015. Announcing this in a press meet held today at the office of KSA located at Sega Road, Th. Premananda, president of KSA said that the objective of organizing such a sports festival is to lessen the unwanted practices during Yaoshang Festival. In order to reduce such unwanted practices we need to inculcate sports culture to the youths of the state. There will be competitions in five disciplines for five trophies namely Kangleipak Football Trophy( under 17), Kangleipak Cheibi Trophy, Kangleipak Kang Trophy, Kangleipak Marathon Race (for youths under XII Standard) and Kangleipak Kabbadi Trophy in the sports festival. The competitions will be conducted by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), All Manipur Cheibi Association, All Manipur Kang Association, Manipur Athletic Association and Manipur State Kabbadi Association respectively. The main venues of the sports festival include Mapal Kangjeibung and other grounds located at Greater Imphal. The sports festival will also be organized at Jiribam Sub-Division.
