Task Force For National Education Policy On The Offing For The State – Minister S. Rajen

Education Minister S. Rajen Singh has said that state Government has decided to constitute a Task Force for the successful implementation of National Education Policy for the state. MLAs of every constituencies will also be empowered and consulted during the campaign. The Minister was speaking as Chief Guest at the Reception Ceremony organized by the teaching and non-teaching staffs of Prabhabati College, Mayang Imphal.
Minister Rajen maintained that the central Government has been focusing for developing and improving education sector on priority. As a new initiative in this regard government has introduced National Education Policy. For the successful implementation of the policy, cooperation of the intellectuals and other professionals is quite required, he added.
He said that being a human we should plan for the future generation. Giving proper education to all children is a step forward to achieve our desired objectives goals. There have been changes on the trends of education during the past few years. The Government schools have been degrading during the recent past. One can assume that such incidents arises out of the ignorance by a few concerned in their service and also due to lack of dedication and sincerity in the service.
The Minister further stated that most of the guardians prefer to send their children to Private schools even if the government assures free education to the students in government schools. There are some loopholes in the part of the administration which need to be corrected at the earliest. The government is providing free meals to school going children apart from providing study materials including books, note books, pen, pencil etc. Some stringent steps need to be taken up to make the un-performing staffs and officials of the department as a warning of making alert in the regard, the minister added.
Speaking as Guest of Honor, Deputy Speaker and also local MLA, K. Robindro Singh said that the sincere service of the teaching and non teaching staffs of the Pravabati College is very much required in order to give better education to the students. For improving the infrastructure and other facilities of the college, the concerned authority will be approached at the best level. He also sought people’s cooperation in order to develop the college to a better level.
Chairperson, College Governing Body, Ch. Pishakmacha Devi attended the function as president. Shantikumar Sharma, advisor to Chief Minister, Manipur, Premchand Singh, Principal, Mayai Lambi College also attended the function as guests of honour.
