Imphal, Sept 11:
Containment of COVID-19 pandemic seems to have been going out of control in the state of Manipur as people with no travel history are being tested positive every day. According to a highly reliable source a high profile minister of the BJP led government have been tested positive with COVID-19. The unfortunate part is that the daughter of the Minister, his driver and a helper have also been reported tested positive with the virus. (Name of the Minister is kept in abeyance as we cannot get in touch with him at the time of filing this story).
Mention may be made that earlier, Minister Nemcha Kipgen had been tested positive and had later recovered. MLA Fajur Rahman had also been tested positive and had maintained home quarantined following that until he had been tested negative.
The High profile minister is the third representative to have been tested positive so far.
