Chairman of Lamlong Khonou Village, Khullak Kodar Dangsha has stated that coconut sapling planted at Ramcherbung area of Tengnoupal district on August 4, 2020 in connection with the “One day awareness and Plantation of Coconut, Cane and Bamboo, Litchee and other trees at Nongtam Satang , Choktong and its surrounding villages has been uprooted after taking photograph of plantation.
A statement by the Lamlong Khunou Village Chairman said that , those coconut ssapling planted on the occasion were uprooted without any concern of the village authority. The statement while condemning such act of the Central Agriculture Uiniversity (CAU) Imphal, Apunba Image Machasing (AIMS), Nongkam Satang, Choktong and Machi Village authority question the motive behind the uprooting of the coconut sapling planted at the area.
The Village authority however welcome and appreciate MP RK Ranjan and Lorho S Pfoze for understanding the plight of the people living at the border for assuring to sent proposal to the Ministry of Rod Transport and High way through the stat government to construct weather roads.
