Bhutangkhal bazaar of Jiribam District burnt to ashes

A major fire broke out at Bhutangkhal bazaar which lies at Jiri- Tipaimukh (JT) road around 20 kms towards the southern side of Jiribam District headquarter.
The fire burnt down thirteen shops and belongings at bazaar.
As per locals report, the incident occurred at around 5 AM of today morning. The cause of fire is still uncertain.
Local people tried to douse the fire but it was vain, as fire engulfed thirteen shops.
The fire tender from Jiribam Fire Station reached at the spot but due to worse condition of JT road, it couldn’t reached the place in time, prior to reach the fire tender the shops burnt into ashes.
The burnt shops are- Grocery shops, tea stall, pan shops, cloth store, cycle work shop, pharmacy, mobile repairing shop and other accessories shop were included in it.
One cruiser vehicle and auto rickshaw which were parked nearby the shops were also burnt down. Around 15- 20 lakhs worth of properties damaged in the fire.
