People across the state particularly the meetei community today celebrate Emoinu Day with cultural flavour. Emoinu is the Goddess of Wealth of Meitei people and has been worshipping since time immemorial by the Meitei people. Prayers in traditional ways were held at every household of the state. The Emoinu day is also observed in a larger way by Club members and cultural body.
Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh, CAF and PD Minister Karam Shyam, Works Minister Th. Bishwajit, Cultural bodies of the state including SEACO among others wish the people of the state on occasion of Emoinu Day.
South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) greets the people of Manipur an occasion of Emoinu day (the goodness of wealth) which falls on today.
The Meitei have been worshiping traditional deity Emoinu since time immemorial in their own traditional way .
The celebration of Emoinu day also signifies the rich cultural civilisation of the metei people as the similar goodness of wealth has been worshiping at various civilised nation including Japan ,Thailand ,Korea , Vietnam ,Rome ,South Africa ,in different name The SEACO in which has been Marking for communalism of the Indigenous Meitei religion and culture of Manipur applied to culture the day with traditional Humour.
The organisation also Appealed people not to mix with alien culture in celebrating Emoinu day .
SEACO also wish the people of the state for a prosperous and wealthy life.
