In order to strengthen relationship between hill and plain people, Co-ordinating Committee Imphal-Mao Market and Manipur Sentinel Council organised Mao Keithel at YASTA ground, Thoubal Wangmataba, today.
YASTA, PFA Manipur, SRU Thoubal, SALAI Kanba Lup, TRCC Thoubal also helped to organise the Mao Keithel. 63 people from Mao had come and 35 vendors were opened at the ground. Many people came to buy vegetables and others materials. People from in and around appreciated the Mao Keithel.
Manipur Sentinel Council, Convenor, Deepak Thoudam said that in order to have better good relation and love between hill people and plain people the Mao Keithel was organised. He also appreciated the help from Thoubal Police and Thoubal Municipal Council.
Mao Vendors, President, Kapeini said that large numbers of people came to buy the products from Mao and people of Mao were also warmly welcomed by the plain people. She added that around 45 places in Imphal had organised the Mao Keithel. She appreciated the hospitality of the people and will never forget. She requested to organise Mao Keithel again at Thoubal.
